                      Miriam 
						Wills was born in Savannah, Georgia, but since graduating 
						with a BFA from the University of Georgia, she has lived 
						and worked in the New York area. After receiving a masters 
						degree from Hunter College, she taught art for a number 
						of years while painting in the afternoon and evenings. 
						About sixteen years ago, Wills bought a broken down building 
						in Hoboken, New Jersey to create a permanent art studio.
						
						Wills exhibits in the "Hoboken Open Studio Shows" 
						annually in October. She has had solo shows in New York, 
						New Jersey, Hiltonhead South Carolina, and in Singapore. 
						Women in the Arts and the National Association of Women 
						Artists have selected her for traveling exhibitions around 
						the country. She has also exhibited in group shows at 
						galleries and museums around New York City and in many 
						other states. 
						
						She has received awards from the Staten Island Museum, 
						the Knickerbocker Club, Manhattan Arts International, 
						and The Pen & Brush Club.
						
						Her work has been reproduced in several reviews, the most 
						comprehensive being the Gallery & Studio in 
						October 2002.
